Kitchen appliances - do John Lewis do multibuy deals?

Has anyone had any success in getting John Lewis to do a discount if you buy several kitchen appliances from them at once? We need quite a few Neff items and a fridge freezer. Just wondering if it was worth trying them for a deal. Or any other recommendations for companies that do multi-buy deals?

I'm not too sure about John Lewis, but I tried Appliance City for a multi-buy. Their initial offer wasn't that amazing (I wanted 7-8 appliances) and so I left it and bought many of them separately using a combination of Quidco, tracking prices over the course of a couple of months (to know when a 'sale' really was a sale) and using voucher codes, cashback deals from the manufacturer etc. If you're prepared to put into the effort and have a bit of time then that's probably the best way (i.e. buying them individually). That said, I did call Appliance City at the end when I wanted a Siemens oven package (oven, combi and warming drawer) worth around £2.2k, quoted all my cashback/voucher/Quidco offerings and they matched two of the three. I'm just about to take delivery and so far I'd say that their customer service has been excellent and other friends have recommended them.

Oh, and I've also found that appliance prices can change overnight and by a fair bit of money, e.g. £100 or so. Once you've bought don't Google them again! Smile

I got mine from appliance city. I did some good haggling and it was the cheapest. Plus they dropped by another £100 before delivery so I got it refunded

I've haggled twice in JL but during their clearance sales. I'd definitely give it a go.

SwedishEdith - did you do that in the store or phone up? And if in store, who did you speak to? Not sure if it needs to be someone in kitchens or at a certain level of management.

I've put in a multibuy request to Appliance City today so I will see what they come back with. We need 9 appliances (plus a wine fridge from John Lewis which is their own make). I am going to see if one of the local Euronics shops will give me a multibuy price as well.

In store. Just with the sales person. "Any flexibility on that price?" kind of thing. Grin I've watched The Apprentice. It worked!
