Help with replacement ceramic disc for tap

loveka · 03/04/2018 14:53

I have a tap which needs a new ceramic disc.

The tap isn't stocked anywhere now, and I can't find out what sort of disc we need. The plumber says it has to be the exact one!

It is driving me crazy, as having no running water in my sink is a bigger problem than it sounds!

Any help? Thanks!

a new tap might cost less and be easier to find and fit.

You could send a photo to Lunns who might identify it. They group cartridges according to dimensions and number of splines, so include that.

Consider buying your next tap from an established UK make such as Bristan. As well as being good quality, they have a good spares section at modest prices.

Thanks so much!

I will definately go for Bristan in future. This one is Jaccuzi brand. It was £300, so an expensive mistake.

grrrr.

Got a pic?

Lunns are here
They specialise in tap parts.

Bristan are here
Their more popular ranges are often cheaper at retailers, but you can buy direct.

IMO taps with capstans are more reliable than taps with joysticks.

is it this company?

That's amazing , thanks.

I don't think it is. I searched the name of the tap and it doesn't come up on their website.

Hrre is a picture.
