Alternatives to vertical radiators?

We are doing some house maintenance. Replacing windows and doors, kitchen update, patio replacement.

In our dining room we will be putting in a bi-fold door in replacement of window and back door.

But my bil (builder) suggested moving the radiator, from its current position to over on the wall where the mirror is, saying put a full wall vertical radiator there. Apparently lots of people like them because they are contemporary.

But I don't like them. Full wall ones. I would prefer no radiator at all!!! As discreet as possible, or atleast waist high, so it doesn't dominate the view.

But what are the alternative/possibilities please?

Google the radiator shop in South Woodford, London E18. Lots of ideas.

Thank you Mosaic, most of those are very beautiful, but quite statement pieces and quite expensive. But I will definitely show them to Dh.

a long, low radiator heats the room more evenly and comfortably than a short high one. Tall ones are unsurpassed for warming ceilings.
