Integrated dishwasher question

Hi, my dishwasher has died and I'm planning a new kitchen but probably not looking at fitting for at least 6 months. I want an integrated DW for the new kitchen rather than freestanding. Is it okay to buy and use and integrated DW now which won't actually be integrated until the kitchen's refitted? TIA

Yep, it's just a dishwasher and we have just had to do exactly the same. You will need to buy a cheap door (I got one from B&Q for £15) to balance the door as they are a bit savage without a door on.
