Dog-proof kitchen floors

About to embark on a major kitchen project, and really want to get the floors right. We've got herringbone parquet nearly everywhere else downstairs, but I feel like tiling the kitchen might be a good shout based on how badly the dog hair shows up on the parquet... also, it would mean we could have underfloor heating, which is a big plus.

We have pale amtico in our current kitchen and it's really grim - shows every hair/bit of mud etc. Can anyone help with suggestions for a really dog-hair proof floor?! I promise I do intend to vacuum/mop every now and then... but just not EVERY day ideally. Blush

It's a 1920s property if that helps!

Underfloor heating is too hot for some dogs. We found porcelain tiles in a non slip finish was practical.

You can get really good parquet look porcelain tiles now.
