Changing this bulb?

Hi, I am trying to change this bulb but no idea how to get it out of the bracket.
Any ideas?

You need a little suction bulb remover I think!

Yes, a suction bulb remover is what you want.

The metal ring is what's holding the bulb in - you need to remove that first, then put it back after you have replaced the bulb. I think if you pinch the two ends together, the ring should pop out.

I use a big blob of bluetack (haven’t got a suction thing). Works fine

Yes as @ATurnipOfMyOwn said. You need to remove the metal ring first by squeezing the ends together then the bulb will come out and make sure you put it back in once youve changed it.

Oh, wait - hadn’t looked closely. Yes, turnip is right, you squeeze the 2 metal ends together.

I used to have some like this - the bulb used to dangle out of the hole on the wires. That was a push-in MR16:

Oh - wait again! Just seen that it says MR11 on the outer ring. It’s a different width
