Best laminate underlay for soundproofing?

We’re both heavy footed.

I don't think any underlay is going to make it quiet. Have you considered putting rugs on top or just going with carpets instead?

We can’t the cat scratches carpet and rugs. Or wees on them. Or both.

The carpet the builders fitted has really thin underlay so I’m thinking a decent underlay will be just as good.

There’s no children to consider.
