Shower panels & bathroom flooring

Hi,

Does anyone have shower panels rather than tiles? We are planning our small ensuite (1.26m x 2.5m before plasterboard etc goes on) and really like the look of the shower panels to go around what will be our alcove shower (prob 1000m x 900 tray hopefully, possibly 1100 depending on what the final space/builders say)
We're looking at the nuance range as it doesn't need metal joining strips, but wondering if anyone has it, would you recommend it, what problems have you come across?

Also-how are vinyl floor tiles in bathrooms? I saw these today, and really liked the look in the showroom, but I'm not sure whether they are as good as floor tiles? www.flooringsupplies.co.uk/vinyl/16523/polyflor_camaro_loc_smoke_limed_oak

Thanks in advance Smile

I have those extruded plastic panels on the walls and ceiling, and vinyl floor laminate (like the wood-look stuff, but slate-look, and suitable for bathrooms)

I like it. It was so fast to put up over the existing tiles, it's easy to clean, it was cheap, and it's warmer than tiles.

The floor stuff is fantastic too - easy to clean, easy to fit, and again, warm.

The downside is things fitted to the wall do need to be carefully done, because you are fitting them over extruded plastic, and when you get up close, you can see the printing, which is a bit odd.

You do need to make sure they use all the right corner/bottom fitting bits around shower/bath too (we had an issue with a leak, which turned out to be because it had been fitted wrong)

The fitter (it was his first time doing it) did worry about it getting easily damaged, but it hasn't been our experience - it's not like I'm swinging crow bars in the bathroom!

Thanks 😊
I think the nuance stuff doesn't need trim just a special sealant type thing. I think we're pretty much decided on it for the walls just need to decide on floor tiles vs vinyl

My friends have it. Cheap and cheerful but a bit like student flats. I hate it. Their house is a 4 bed detached and they have a cheap bathroom. They have a single sheet vinyl floor. It’s functional but not attractive. Depends what you want I guess.
