Isn’t that something he’d get as a business expense as part of his business?

He doesn't have his own business he works for a company but they only supply certain tools (the bigger tools i think) and the smaller tools he uses are his own

Screwfix has a good range. How much do you want to spend?

RedRedDogsBeg · 14/03/2018 12:53

Stanley are a good brand

LMX0 · 14/03/2018 13:05

Ideally no more than £40 £50 at a push!! Is Stanley a good brand? I had seen a few of Stanley but as i wasnt sure i didn't want to buy something that would fall apart

Stanley is an excellent brand, Dh has had quite a bit of their stuff over the years. Lasts well. Do you mean hand held? Dh had one like this years ago for tools he would transport to work here

Ask him, or ask a colleague. Or make sure that he can return it (and tell him that he can!) if it isn't right for what he needs. I've been stuck with something similar for 30 years that was bought for me & wasn't quite what I wanted!

That one looks brill!!! Think ill go with that one on amazon and it will be easily returned if not suitable thank you all for your replies 😊

And keep the receipt so he can get the tax back with his annual return.
