Clear or Opaque sidelight?

Hi there,

I need to order my windows today and just can't make a decision on our front door sidelight.

We have the option to have it either clear, or fully opaque (no clear border option unfortunately).

We'll have a busy footpath and road outside the house (maybe 4/5m to the front door), but will hopefully build up the boundry hedge so there is no direct vision from the road. I hate the idea of blocking all that lovely eastern light coming into the hall. Also nice to be able to see who's calling at the door (but don't want them seeing in either)

What would you do?
*Fully Clear
*Fully Opaque
*Clear but with a blind or sticky film to give us either option?

Plans of the hall attached!

Cheers

Is it modern or traditional property? Ours in an older one and it has a stained glass window that looks really fab.

It’s difficult to have an option to see you’re there without them knowing as they’ll at least see your outline.

Thanks for the reply.
It's a new build, so modern!

Would the opaque option block out a lot of light do you know?

I don't think it would block out much light - we've got opaque windows in bathrooms and they're very light. Alternatively, Ive seen people have clear windows but then a decoration of some sort inside so there's a bit of added privacy. Or clear glass + some sort of window treatment like a day and night or bottom-up blind.
