Composite vs Aluminium front doors?

Hi all, i'm looking to hear back from anyone who has had an aluminium front door fitted and how you've got on? I'm all set to buy a Solidor composite door (£2k+ fitted) but was told to look into aluminium doors, specifically Spitfire doors who do a contemporary range of aluminium doors. I've received one quote from one of their upper range doors, insanely high (£4.5k+ fitting) and waiting for another from one of their lower end ranges.

Is aluminium the way to go these days? Should be stronger than composite i'd have thought? I'm more worried about denting an aluminium door but then this should be pretty strong.

Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

We used to have a composite door, paid around £1500 for it with fitting.loved it at first but within 3 years the colour had faded and it was warping and had to be replaced.

We decided to have new Alluminium windows put in so decided to replace the door, it cost about £3000 but worth every penny. We've now had it around 4 years and it looks as good as it did the day it was installed.

Great feedback, thanks! Quite a markup in cost though which I was half expecting.
