Wadhurst, Mayfield and surrounding areas

We are thinking of moving to Wadhurst or Mayfield. Or some other village.

Any suggestions? I know the area - but from well over 30 years ago!

A sense of community is important. We have 1 dc. Between Mayfield and Wadhurst which is the better option? Besides Wadhurst having a train station!

If your DC is a girl and you were planning private for secondary, Mayfield might be the better option.

Thanks, we are considering Mayfield as a school. However I am thinking of the long term too. Is there a community feeling in Mayfield?
