Removals - bad reviews

OverseasMum3 · 09/03/2018 07:56

We are moving from Glasgow back to the US. I've gotten quotes from the following removals companies and am now researching them and almost all the reviews are terrible. Does anyone have experience with any of the following companies: Dorree Bonner, Pickfords, PSS Removals, Anglo Pacific, Movecorp. Thanks!

Pickford's messed up our NDN's move and a couple of others I have heard about so I couldn't recommend them.

Do bear in mind that people who are pissed off are more likely to post bad reviews than customers who are pleased with the service they received are to post good reviews.

We've done UK to US, back again and then UK to Canada and back again. Used Britannia each time and they were good.

Have to say the guys on the US/Canada side were so much better than the UK side. Nothing was too much effort, they even built my two week old daughters cot and chest of drawers for me from flat pack, I don't think I've ever been so grateful to anyone in my life!

Please do not use Pickfords in Glasgow, they are horrendous. They lost our stuff, left houseplants outside overnight in -8 temperatures. Lied to us and were general bloody awful. They also completely misjudged how many men and vehicles we would need. Total mess.

Just to add to my post Pickfords insisted on payment up front.

Pickfords completely messed up my friends move and lost a load of her stuff. That was several years ago tho.

Ime removals companies always want payment upfront.

What about Kilmarnock Removals? They moved MIL to Spain and were excellent.

We used crown international for a overseas move and they were excellent.
