Want to move to this area.

Was thinking of a flat but on my other thread people are warning me against it!

Any advice? Would really like to be close to the sea.

How close to the sea do you want to be? What’s your budget?

It’s a lovely area!

The Meads area of Eastbourne is very nice.

Hi. I live near Eastbourne and spend a lot of time there - it's a very nice area and well priced in my opinion by South East standards.

Think about how close to the sea you want to be. Obviously sea view places will attract a price premium and there are real downsides to living right by the coast (it gets very windy and cold).

Personally I look into buying a small terrace over a flat (and Eastbourne has lots of small terraces) to avoid maintenance charges, and get the benefit of a small garden, but it really depends on your budget.

What are your priorities in terms of location specifics? Good schools? Lots of shops nearby? Etc.

I think my house is worth 250k but I didn't really want to spend that. I was thinking of 200k.

I live a ten minute or less drive from the sea now but I think it's different from it being on your doorstep.

How many bedrooms do you need for that money OP?

Plantlover · 09/03/2018 19:38

Can manage with one.

Kitkat

Your search skills are way better than mine! Hadn't found any of those properties.

Thankyou!
