Looks like the vendor has only just found somewhere and so they haven't officially instructed their solicitor yet. So nothing has been done.
They told me 5 weeks ago that they had found a property.
Knew it was too good to be true.

I would be speaking to the estate agent and ask them to make it clear to the vendor that they need to get their act together. Have you paid for a survey yet?

veuveo · 05/03/2018 16:56

Survey was done a month ago, 2 days after they accepted my offer.

Definately get the estate agents to push the vendors and also ask your solicitor to speak to theirs and push from that side as well.

Vendor has apologised for holding things up, they did ask solicitor to slow it down while they found a new place, but they have done some work on it and asked solicitor to hurry it through and my dates should still be achievable.
I wouldn't care, but trying to juggle a school move too. At the moment Ds is going to finish school for Easter and not know if he's going back there or his new school.
He's not worried, so I shouldn't be.

It would seem that as my solicitor hasn't heard anything from their solicitor he hasn't even started the searches yet.
So pretty much at square one.
