We have the concrete slab from an old garage lurking in our garden, and it runs from the back door right down one side of the garden. The rest is lawn and shrubs. There is not enough money in the budget to take the slab up - no matter how many quotes I get, it's definitely beyond reality. It's flat, in fair condition with a couple of superficial cracks.
I am wondering about recycled rubber pavers on top of it, as a softer non-slip option. Also they claim to be v easy to lay using a clip system. Has anyone used them? Any advice?
The only remaining alternative I can think of is to paint it - which will freshen it up but not improve its play potential, IYSWIM...
