Help with woodwork / wall colours using wallpaper

Hello people who are good at interior design!

I have booked in a decorator for next fortnight to do my boys’ bedrooms. We’ve chosen some super cute wallpaper (it will be on a feature wall basis, a bit passé, I know).

Wallpaper one: www.fabricsandpapers.com/treasure-map-wallpaper.html
And two www.wallpaperdirect.com/products/scion/terry-toucan/129513

For ease and because the neutral tone in the two papers is v similar, I want to use the same colour in both rooms. However, one is south facing and the other is north facing.

I’m tempted by dulux timeless (we have it in our kitchen) and we can get it in small child proof paint! But stuck on the woodwork (skirting board, door and built in wardrobe frames and the door / wardrobe doors). I am not sure I like timeless and a white satin wood together and wondering about going a shade darker with a soft grey as that’s a colour in both wallpapers ... but not sure I like that either! Any help appreciated.

Nice wallpaper. How about dark blue skirting board etc? I think it would look great. Lighter than this could be an option too.

Oh that looks really lovely! And to my eye, a dark grey. Could work nicely with the oak wood coloured floor too. Thank you.
