Kitchen plan

How much does it cost to have someone draw up designs for a kitchen refurb, knowing I likely won’t use them to buy the actual kitchen from?

E.g I want to buy from DIY kitchens, but need someone to show me how best to make use of the small space I have?

Any recommendations?

Approx 500 depending on what’s involved

I’d assume less for a small kitchen :)

Hmm, that’s about 10% of my absolute max budget for the refurb. Though my kitchen is definitely small! Thank you Smile

Your best bet is to visit several kitchen showrooms and have them design you a kitchen. That’ll help you get a good idea of what might work well.

Look up oneplan on Houzz or google. Otherwise known as Karen Wallace. She has just done me plans for DIY kitchens and the team there were impressed with how ergonomic my kitchen will be. It was a very quick easy process. If you contact her and explain budget constraints she does a by the hour service too I think.

If £5000 is your budget, its probably worth getting some help to get a good design that's economical. You could get a rubbish kitchen for that budget or a small clever and efficient one IYSWIM. We did our kitchen for about that budget using DIY kitchens plus some open shelves and nearly new appliances.

You could always have Wren / Magnet out with a view to buying off them (but knowing you're really buying from DIY kitchens). They aren't great to be honest, but might give you an idea or 2 to incorporate into your own design.
