Beckenham best roads for 1m budget

Hi, we currently live in SE London but looking to move to Beckenham. We have a budget of £1-1.2m and looking for a 4/5 bed house in a good area (preferably not far from the high street) near a main train line and ideally near good primary schools. Any suggestions would be most helpful! Thanks.

The Victorian houses on cedars road are lovely, similar on elm road. But there is a mix of facade in each of those streets.

Do you need to think about school catchment areas? If you do then look around the Langley schools. Let me know if you need anymore help.

I was going to say Cedars Road - also used to like Barnmead Road but actually thinking about it I just want to move into zone 1 (or even Penge will do) - Beckenham really is boring and full of daily mail readers who get on my nerves!

Would look at school areas and go from there. They are quite small!
If I could, I would live on manor way but don't think that's in budget!
Langley conservation is nice but a bit far from stations/high street so maybe clock house area.
Beckenham is great. Lots of parks and near countryside. Enough restaurants for those that don't go out every night, and a few proper pubs (dh is currently in one!).
