Sliding roof lights

Has anyone had any experience with RoofMaker and their electric flat sliding roof lights? Wondering whether the fact that they're considerably cheaper, whilst offering 'more', than their competitors (e.g. GV) is too good to be true...
Thanks!

We bought an electric opening pitched roof light from Roofmaker and I absolutely love it! It doesn't slide open but lifts upwards. The only hitch was that we bought a big one (3 metres by 1 metre) and Roof Maker don't install so we had to find a company to do it as it weighs 190kg! That was an extra £600 on the £2.4k cost but well worth it. A similar one from another company would have been around £4.4k+.

I think they get good reviews on TrustPilot it as well?

Thanks Crumbelina, very reassuring to hear!

The one I'm looking at is a similar size and weight but seeing as I'm having other major building works done I'm getting the guys on site to install it.

How long have you had yours? Is it fairly noisy when opening/closing?

I have to admit that we haven't had it for too long (a couple of months) but so far so good and it's not noisy when opening - in fact, it's pretty impressive to watch it!

It's pretty easy to install as well (they have good installation videos) and so your building team shouldn't have a problem.
