We are thinking of relocating to Devon from Surrey and are looking at the areas surrounding Exeter. East to Sidmouth and down to Teignmouth, possibly further south to Torquay. We’ve viewed a few places and decided we definitely want to live close to the sea. Just after some advice really. We’re looking at a place in Budleigh Salterton and Holcombe. Our boys have just started school in September so looking for good primaries and secondaries (state not private). Have heard stories of how busy it gets in the summer, does this bother people living there. Does it impact on daily life eg busy roads, parking etc. We love Devon but just want to make sure we pick the right place for our family. Some of the seaside towns are beautiful but worried they may be places to retire more than for young families. Any insights appreciated. Thank you!!!
