Can anyone recommend a good place to get a new fridge freezer from, ideally online? There are loads of websites and I don't want to pick a turkey!
Bought last one 14 years ago from Comet..

Ao.com have used them a couple of times and the customer service is fantastic

Just had a bit of rubbish service from AO so I wouldn’t recommend them. They turned up 2 hours after the 4 hour delivery slot and sent someone without basic plumbing knowledge (couldn’t turn off water supply) to disconnect and connect a new dishwasher.

I would massively recommend Liebherr for refrigeration products, we have them and their customer service is absolutely excellent.

We have bought several items from Ao.com too, very helpful, no problems, good prices and the reviews and descriptions on the site are good too.

I've purchased my last 2 appliances from John Lewis and have had nothing but good experiences both times.

In my experience, AO had very limited delivery slots, at least locally, where as I could always book in a delivery for a Saturday from John Lewis and not have to take time off from work.

Homebase here, it went very smoothly and they were the shortest del time. {They do Nectar points}

I have given up buying online. I now go into the local Euronics dealer - better service, cheaper than AO, and delivery people who know what they are doing and where they are going.

Really impressed with this company www.empiredirect.co.uk/

Brilliant service and good ethics too.

Thank you great to get some tips. Mine still works but all the freezer drawers are broken (cheers dh) and would cost over £100 to replace them. So thinking of a nice new one! no I don't need a water dispenser

I got mine from Boots Kitchen Appliances, they go through AO so you get the same service (which I found great) but you can get advantage card points on your purchase as well.

NetballHoop · 23/02/2018 11:03

We bought ours from here: www.mrcentre.co.uk/

They were very good, delivered and fitted the fridge themselves and took away all the packaging etc.

Kismett · 23/02/2018 11:26

We went with John Lewis and it was the smoothest delivery we've had.

Garmadonsmum · 23/02/2018 14:31

I am surprised at how deep most of them are. Are they meant to stick out beyond units? Head spinning with volumes etc - I can see lots of choice on ao and JL to be getting on with.

I think they are meant to stick out past the counter/cabinet a little, so that you can easily open the fridge doors. We bought a Samsung from JL and while it has only been a few months, we've been happy with it. Our delivery driver said he also had a Samsung fridge freezer for years that he liked. In case that helps!

teenagetantrums · 23/02/2018 15:59

We bought one one from co op. Last month no problem and got a bargain in the sale.

dotdotdotmustdash · 23/02/2018 19:46

We bought ours from Currys and the process was fine.

We changed the location of our ff at the last minute and decided to moved it to a very shallow space which wouldn't take a 'normal' depth ff. We found one in Currys, a Beko, which is 70cm wide but only 60cm deep. It's not the most stylish of beasts, but it's spacious and does the job.

Garmadonsmum · 23/02/2018 20:00

I've been looking at that one!

Hughes are really good. They are an East Anglian chain of shops but also have online ordering/national delivery.
