Vanity units, help me please.

While looking for a vanity unit for our downstairs loo DH and I are drawn to ones raised on legs rather than flush to the floor. The only issue with this is that the waste pipe goes down through the tiles/floor.

Could these styles of units be adapted to House the waste pipe and then use small section of boxing in to hide the pipe under the unit?

The unit legs are 15cm high (just higher than the skirting board) the unit is 400mm deep and the pipe currently sits at 180mm from skirting board. I think it would be obvious and look terrible, DH thinks you’d be lucky to even see it and that it could work, any opinions would be much appreciated...

From what you describe, it does sound like you wouldn't even notice the pipe. However, is the space big enough to put a stud wall in front of the pipe? That would make look all perfect for you and you add recessed shelving higher up etc.
Examples attached.

We have this.... you can't see the pipe at all. Apologies for slightly dreadful pic, was trying to stand back as much as possible.

Could you have a wall hung one rather than on legs? Then just box the pipe in? We have a wall hung one in an ensuite and the pipe can't be seen without being boxed in as you can't stand back far enough to see it as the room's so small iyswim

unfortunately due to the positioning of the toilet a stud wall wouldn’t work although they do look lovely
My concern is it’s a long room so about 2m from the door to where the unit will be and I don’t want it to be obvious-not asking for much I know!

I feel like I'm stating the obvious, but have you tried a mock vanity? Place a few things on each end to reach the 15 cm, place a rod, a broom or what ever on top and see how much of the pipes you see and if you an live with it. If it was an issue what i would do is either shave off a few cm off the legs or slip some low baskets and store some things there making the pipe less obvious.
