Opinions on tile design

So, I'm just having my bathroom done and I've ordered some lovely (I think!) large grey, slightly rustic surfaced, tiles (300 x 600). The tiler has asked me how I want them put on the walls. Clearly my face looked confused - I'd assumed he'd lay them "staggered" like brickwork, but then he said that a lot of people are now going for the straight lined look (ie, literally putting them above each other).

Just wondered what your opinions and thoughts are because, as usual, I can't decide.....

I'm not a fan of stacked and much prefer a 50/50 brick bond pattern. I know that stacked is popular at the moment but I just don't like the look of it.

Some tilers won't lay large format tiles in a brick bond pattern though or they will lay them in a 70/30 type pattern. Something to do with undulating edges?

I think that both options sound nice so I wouldn't be overthinking it too much.
