New boiler - Baxi EcoBlue Advanced or Ideal Logic +

Our boiler has broken down and is beyond economical repair. We’ve had 2 quotes so far and don’t know which to choose. The choices we’ve been offered so far are Baxi EcoBlue advanced 19kw (supplied and fitted for £1500 plus VAT) or an Ideal Logic + 18kw (supplied and fitted for £2k plus VAT).

Any experiences, thoughts very much appreciated!!

We’ve got an Ideal Logic + 24 Heat Only (not a combi boiler, we still have our tank) that has been in since 2011. It came with a five year guarantee. It has never let us down, although BG spotted a small leak on the seal to the outside during its annual service which was sorted under our contract.

I would choose Baxi to be honest. Where are you located?

We’re in Northampton. New boiler being fitted tomorrow - a relief after shockingly bad service from Scottish Power’s so called “boiler care” and them leaving us with a badly damaged and unsafe boiler for months.
