Boiler pressure

Hello. My boiler pressure is way down and I don’t know how to sort it. I’ve watched a you tube video which says to turn the black lever anti clockwise and listen for the water coming in. I’ve turned it, but nothing seems to happen

I had switched the boiler to the off position. I assume that’s right? Can anyone help?

Hard to see on my phone but the braided hose has a tap at each end, you turn one on and use the other to control the flow. Then turn both off.
It looks like your other one has lost the handle so you will need an adjustable spanner or something similar.
