How long did your double story extension take

We want to put a double extension on the back of our house.
It will involve knocking down a conservatory then extending the kitchen. Upstairs it will extend the two bedrooms and put in an ensuite.
How long roughly did your two story extension take?

Hi sherbet
The problem is if we wait we are going to have to move out as a Moses basket is all that will fit in our tiny bedroom :/ short term rents for a two bed are well over 1200k a month here. That is such a massive cost on top of build. We are a bit stuck really.

I would definitely do it at the pregnancy/newborn stage than the toddler stage!! It will be stressful but you'll cope. You'll be on maternity leave so around more to keep an eye on builders, plus you can go and stay with family during the worst bits. If you are planning on BF then babies don't need much at all. Get it over with before they are into the crawling/walking/dangerous into everything stage! (I've renovated with a baby before twice!)
