Shower unit leaking

I got a new Triton electric chowder fitted in October.

Using it this morning, I could feel cold splashes and when I checked, the unit is leaking from the bottom. It stopped after I turned it off.

Is this dangerous to use? Will an electrician/plumber be able to do anything? Is it worth calling the plumber who fitted it? Help!

Could it be an override security feature ? My Aqualisa does this. Some shower units you can open up and reset, with confidence and a set of instructions from the internet.
We were warned that our water pressure was too high for the unit to cope with some of the shower head settings, and that's definitely been the cause of all three leaks that we've had.

Thanks Queenbeet. I I saw something on the internet which sounded similar, about the head or hose being blocked. After a wee shoogle about, it didn’t leak this morning. Fingers crossed Smile
