Recommendation for remodeling of flat (London)

Not sure if this is the right place to post but I'm looking for a London based company to give me a quote on a remodeling of a flat. Basically it's an all on one level apartment with inside walls just stud walls. The space could be used a lot better I am sure. Just have NO IDEA what that would cost.

Hi Mumpoints,

I think in order to get a quote you need to write a proper brief. How big is your flat, sq meters/bedrooms? What would you like it be? How many bedrooms would you like? Do you want to strip it all back and start again or just move a couple of walls? Would you want a high spec or are you on a budget? What is your maximum budget? Usually an architect will help you design to your budget.

You will also need freeholder consent to make any changes to the layout. And before you make any plans, I'd want to be certain that the walls you want to alter aren't supporting walls. If they are, you will need building regs and, quite possibly, party wall agreements with your neighbours to do anything.

You may need building regs input even if the walls are non-structural, they could have a bearing on fire safety for example.

We own the freehold so that's not an issue. The flat is in a building that used to have another purpose, so it was huge spaces now divided into smaller living spaces, so I think most walls are movable.

I will try and get a floor plan to put on here.

Thanks all
