Do you have a quooker?

Thinking of getting a quooker fusion, do you have one? If so, how are you finding it in terms of versatility. Have you found that you would like a separate hot and cold tap or does the quooker do the lot for you?

We have one, it’s not the fushion, it’s just a boiling water tap. Had it done when we had a new kitchen. It is by far the best gadget in the kitchen. Wouldn’t go back to a kettle now. And it does make piping hot tea.

We have the fusion one (boiling, hot & cold) and it's bloody fantastic. I just cannot imagine ever going back to a kettle. I'm far too impatient to wait for a kettle to boil now! We live in a very hard water area and were constantly killing kettles with limescale (not very good at remembering to de-scale regularly) and I think tea made with the quooker is far cleaner tasting than from the kettle. I also love the fact that I always have hot water (for washing up) even if I haven't got any "normal" hot water left for any reason - just add boiling & cold from the Quooker, job done!

Sounds like there are a few installation issues here - for those whose Quooker isn't boiling hot, it isn't working correctly. With mine the first 1-2 seconds runs out then it's boiling. You can see the steam.

Yes it steams, and I’m sure it is boiling water. But it definitely goes cold faster than kettle boiled water

Mmmmm, lots of opinions on cost verses economy and some very impressive calculations too!
Putting running costs of a kettle and buying a quooker to one side, does anyone know what resetting your quooker entails??? It's been mentioned on this thread, but I haven't a clue.

Absolutely love ours, it's brilliant, and worth every penny.

It supplies hot water as well as boiling water. Our hot water tank is 2 stories up so running the hot tap in the kitchen wasted bucketfuls of hot water: with the quooker it's instant and no wastage. And the boiling water is really boiling. An absolute winner for me.

No idea about 'resetting', sorry. I've never had to do that and mine is a few years old.

Agree it is properly boiling.

Got mine trade price. The place I got it from just offered that price, no haggling Smile
