Underlay for solid wood flooring

Hi all, my first thread and new to the site.
Just wanted to ask if we need underlay for our solid wood we bought that will go onto floorboards. I've been getting mixed answers online and via other floor companies and been told we don't need underlay and some have said we do. Those have said we do have said we need either the fibreboard style or the the one hat comes on a roll. Flooring we bought is for bedrooms upstairs and lounge downstairs, so just want to make sure we know before being laid this weekend. Thank you.

I know this sounds weird, but I love my underlay! The one that I chosen from the furniture shop didn't arrive in time, so I emergency ordered Cloud 9 Cush n' Wood from an online retailer. It is SO warm! It really cut out a load of draughts we used to have from the sub-floor (we have a large void under the house). We had carpet before - modern carpet, too - and the difference was instant and highly noticeable.

Is that for carpet or wood flooring?
