Hi

We have almost decided to order a kitchen from DIY Kitchens. We like the Shaker Norton, Stanbury & Clayton and wondered if anyone could share any knowledge about the quality of these kitchens?

Many thanks

We went to the showroom and decided on Norton. I love that it's a simple shaker with no extra lines & is solid wood. I also liked the wood grain showing through. For me it was between the stanbury and Norton. The Stanbury is similar to a modern shaker in Magnet, it's a smooth finish with no definitive lines, it looks like it's all carved from one piece. I liked the idea of wooden doors, not only because of the solidness and woodgrain but also the possibility of respraying them in the future. The Stanbury is lovely though. I'll attach some pics;

We had stanbury installed end Dec...it's great we chose it over Norton as preferred the smooth finish... Norton is also nice but shows wood grain and I wanted slightly more modern look..
We had painted to match a f&b colour and they did a really good match .. Got ikea units for utility as hadn't decided layout before needed do do kitchen order and they are very poor quality in comparison..
I was stressed about the order as never done anything like that before but it was fine.... Delivery late night but they were quick..

Double triple check though as I was sure had ordered corner unit unassembled ...but not and it was too dark for them to navigate my tricky access... My builder sorted it in the morning thankfully!

Only either thing was I didn't order any filler flat panels and they don't have filler panels in painted door option only carcass coloured so my builder improvised ! Also I needed a tiny buffer unit and went for the bottle rack and should have gone for tray store instead ...

Good tip from here was to get the high sides for the pan drawers def worth it...
Highly rate the quality love my new kitchen :)

Thank you very much for taking the time to respond and for the excellent tips.

Both the Norton and Stanbury look lovely kitchens. We're about two hours from the showroom so we're going to visit at the weekend. I'm excited now x
