Porcelain Floor Tiles

After some new floor tiles for the dining room and kitchen (they open into each other, with a breakfast bar inbetween).

We've been advised to have porcelain rather than ceramic, due to big dogs playing in there and walking through, but finding it hard to find. Need cream-ish in colour. Don't want to spend a fortune...

Any suggestions folks?

Sometimes you can get tiles from eBay

I bought 140sq metres from a building company who had over bought.

Worked out about £5 per square metre.
I used them in my own house and several places I did up. Finally got rid of the last 10square metres for £100
I think I might have been lucky but you never know till you look

Walls and Floors have a great website, sample ordering service and catalogue x

I’ve got porcelain Topps Tiles in a fake stone finish, in an otherwise pricey renovation. They are fabulous. If well laid, porcelain tiles can look amazing.

Thank you so much all!

Sorry, got sidetracked a) by bathroom taps - who knew so complicated and so blinking expensive?! and b) by DH who's not convinced my idea of laying tiles over the existing ones in the kitchen is going to work, so we have to wait for a tuler to come and give an expert opinion. Ho hum.

I've also decided, thanks to you folks, to go darker tiles, as one floor is already dark floorboards and it makes sense with the dogs.
