Encaustic tiles

Can anybody tell me how suitable these are for bathrooms? I am completely in love with several designs, but don't want to make an expensive mistake. We have 4 (feral) dc!

Also - are they trickier to install than standard cement tiles? I'm wondering if my plumber will go for it at all.

I love them but we didn't get them for our bathroom because they're very porous and need to be properly sealed (and occasionally re-sealed). You need an experienced contractor who knows how to properly install and seal encaustic tiles. I'd say they're more suitable for a dry room.
