Best 3 in 1 tap

That’s it really. I’m looking at 3 in 1 taps as we’d like the boiling water.
Any reviews, experience, tips gratefully received.
TIA

Quooker is really the best Reliable with lots of options of boiling filtered etc. Their website will direct you to a local dealer

Best is a little bit subjective. We have an insinkerator boiling tap. It was the 'best' for us, because it was by far the cheapest.

There are several brands that cost several thousand pounds. IMHO, it's really a matter of asthetics. All boiling water taps will do what they say on the tin. You can get taps that have larger tanks, so will have more hot water - but on the flip side, they will take up more space in the cupboard. Some taps have filtered cold water, but then you'll just need to replace the filters more often.

Do you definitely want a 3-in-1 rather than a normal kitchen tap and a separate boiling tap? The latter configuration often works out cheaper and gives you more flexibility.

We have a Franke Minerva here.

Chose that one because the tank can go under the cupboard in the space behind the kickboard - so it did not take up the sink under the cupboard.

Thanks Fanspam
I like the idea of the tank under the cupboard. That might well be the deciding factor. Grin Thanks muchly.

Parkview, sorry, for some reason I missed your comments.
I thought the 3 in 1 would be better asthetically. DH wouldn’t rather have separate as he would like a pull out tap.
Guess I’ll keep looking.

We have the Minerva 3-1 also but our tank is under the sink in the cupboard...very neat and not large by any means ...we just had a reminder to buy the new cartridge which they suggest every 6 months so that is to bear in mind (£37) but it's a great tap and nothing negative to say

We have the Franke omni 4 in 1 which were very happy with. Hot/cold, boiling and filtered. Flow might not be as intense as others due to the extra hose to discharge the filtered water, but the boiler is neat and takes up very little room. Franke after Sales is great. Got my local builders merchant to get it for us so worked out a lot cheaper than buying from the kitchen company.

Murinae · 03/02/2018 11:11

We have the insinkerator 3in1 and it’s great. Bought it as much cheaper than the others and as we weren’t replacing our kitchen or our sink yet I wanted one that just replaced the old tap and this one fitted perfectly

Thanks very much for all the comments. I’ve ordered now (Franke Minerva Helix 3 in 1).
Fingers crossed DH likes it. Smile

My recommendation was based not on price but on reliability and ease of operation. Ise models did suffer with tanks leaking but that issue may have been sorted now. Franke are pretty good but not as simple to operate. Also some are not truly boiling. Like a lot of things, you get what you pay for

Thanks Dolly
I did go and look at the new Quooker Flex but I was put off by the spitting from the airated water. Time will tell if I’ve chosen wisely or not Smile
