I need a boiler service/insurance

I bought my flat in April last year. Up until then, I received an annual boiler/gas check through my HA, and any issues with the boiler were rectified by their contractor.

Obviously now i get none of that, so can anyone advice how best to get sorted?

Can I set up a monthly plan to make sure I’m covered? Who do you suggest and how much can I expect to pay?

I don’t know if it matters at all, but I still pay my gas through a key meter.

Thanks

I have british gas 400 boiler service seemed good & it was invaluable when I had electrical problems with someone coming round the next day to fix the problem (it's a nightmare trying to get tradesmen round to fix stuff)
I have had a Homeserve product that did boiler service & drains service again seemed fine & they cleared a blocked drain a few days after call out.
I was with 247 last year they didn't do the service until about 6 months after taking the cover out (I think they hope you forget) their online booking was rubbish & they get terrible reviews on line
I tend to move around to get the introductory offers.

British Gas homecare cover is about £15 a month and that includes a annual boiler service. You can add on plumbing and drainage and electrics also I think for a higher premium. You don't have to be a gas/electric customer with them either.

Homeserve do similar for about £12 a month but I've been told they're not as good as BG.

Great, thanks very much. I’ll go and have a look at British Gas first then.

I've had British Gas cover since buying my first home (over 20 years ago) and have had only good experiences. We just have the central heating covered.

Sorted! That was easy Shock

My dm has had British Gas cover for a number of years. They’ve been really good, and prioritised her on calls.
EON however, we had them, and they’re a waste of money. I think they’re called something else now.
