Repairing grout in shower

The grouting round a couple of the tiles in our shower is damaged and coming away, and the three people we've asked to come and have a look at it are all busy for the next three weeks! I've had a skim of the internet, and it looks like repairing it might not be beyond my DIY capabilities (the closest I've come to that sort of thing is re-sealing the bath). Has anyone done it and can tell me how easy/difficult it is? Am I mad to think I might be able to do it? It's about 4 tiles worth needing doing at the moment, but obviously the longer we don't get it fixed the more damage might get done!

It's REALLY easy.
Resealing bath is probably harder due to the angle.

You just need to get rid of the damaged grout, neaten up the edges, and hoover it well to get rid of any bits. Then it's really just smearing, wiping and polishing.

The faff is that you can't use the shower for a bit.

Really? Brilliant! I will give it a shot then - thank you! We have another shower, but it's less convenient (and tiny) so not being able to use the main one for a couple of days isn't the end of the world. Although DH might get sick of me complaining about showering in a cupboard.

You can buy grout in a tube - like toothpaste but bigger

squeese some in and wipe it with your finger -

Then use a damp sponge to clean the excess off - do not leave this to dry as it won't come off - lots of swilling the cloth and recipe until clean

Leave for 24 hours to dry

Outs isn’t smooth or shiny - it looks like Matt plaster. Same principle?

It’s done! And it was indeed quite easy - thanks all!
