Afternoon everyone! I have an antique dining table at home that has some oil marks on it. As a result I'm hoping to get it sanded down and revarnished. I contacted a local carpenter in my area of London who comes highly recommended online and they have quoted me £400 for the job. To me that sounds like an eye-wateringly high figure - I was expecting to pay more around the £200 mark. It's a pretty small table (seats four people or six at a push) and although I know very little about these things, I was thinking that it would be a day's work at most. What are your thoughts?
