We are looking to build a side extension to our house. It will add 2.5m down the side and will be 1m from the boundary. The current layout is our 2 story house, side passage, detached garage boundary, neighbours garage, their side passage, their house. My question is, can we put in a proper window on the ground floor facing the side of their garage. The only rules I can find are regarding first floor windows, or windows within 1m of the boundary. Any experience/knowledge would be gratefully recieved. There is currently a glazed kitchen door on this side of the house.
