Rough wall

Any tips for smoothing a wall which has been badly plastered (before we moved in)? Do i just have to fill each hole, groove, etc? Cant afford to get it replastered.

You can buy wall smoothing stuff - polyfilla do a big tub of it with a roller and a smoothing tool. It’s not all that easy to use though. You might be better off getting a plasterer in to skim it properly
