Wallpapering and radiators

Hello
I'm after some advice please
Myself and my husband have just moved into our own house; finally (yay)

We are in the process of decorating our open plan kitchen/ diner.
We are having a feature wall however that wall has a radiator on it.

Now I think we should remove the radiator, decorate and then put the radiator back on. However my husband thinks we should decorate round the radiator.

Please help advice and settle this debate we are having!
Thank you!

I'm with your husband on this one. It's not too tricky to trim the wallpaper/paint behind the radiator with your smallest roller.

I do a lot of decorating and there’s no way you need to remove a radiator. You can easily trim the wallpaper to a length you can smooth down behind it or use a small roller / brush to get paint found it.

*round it

@Fairylea and @milkmoustache
Thanks for your replies :)

How do we remove the existing wallpaper from behind the radiator?

We're new to this diy business so learning everything haha so nice to have opinions which aren't just our families.

It depends on the radiator - if it's a column one with spaces you have little option but to remove. It's easier to cheat with a flat panel one.
