Hammocks

So I've just bought my son a cabin bed with a slide... Although I thought that was cool enough, son wants a hammock hanging in his room too.
Do you think a cabin bed is strong sustain one underneath?
I don't want to risk my walls... or is there some way of making then stronger? Any advice welcome :)

Awwww, what a great idea!

The only problem is that a hammock, even for a small person, is likely to need to bear a lot of weight, including the weight of a DS slumping contentedly into it. I would fear for a bed! You could attach it to the wall, but you'd need some extremely heavy duty fittings, and I fear these might actually be metal and a bit of a bang hazard. You can buy ones that have frames to which they attach, but these ones I have seen have been big. I'm really hoping someone can come in with a clever solution!
