Changing conservatory roof for solid one

Hello,
Has anyone done this? I'm thinking about it, but I'm interested to know how much it costs, and more importantly, whether it actually helps with the hot in summer/cold and mould in winter issue.
All responses gratefully received!

We changed the roof on our conservatory last year and it has worked really well.

The room is now a normal temperature all year round and has become much more useable. It is still light and bright but cosy in winter and warm in Summer.

We used a building company that fitted a guardian roof system. It blends in with the rest of the house much better. It cost around £13k.
