Loft conversion alarm going off

We are one week into a loft conversion on our mid terrace house. We have scaffolding up and it’s a very windy wet night here. At 1 am an alarm has started going off from the loft area. We can’t get up there and don’t know what it is. The builders aren’t answering their phones. Any ideas what it could be? Our smoke alarms on other floors or carbon dioxide are going off?

Could it be an anti-theft alarm on the scaffolding?

Maybe! I did suggest that to my husband but he didn’t believe me!

I'd say it's that.. Scaffolding is worth a lot and is sub-contracted - hence the alarm. Maybe try the scaffolding company to see if they have a 24 hr line?

Thanks W0rriedMum we had no idea who scaffold company were as all sorted by builder. Just knowing what it was, helped me stop panicking about it being anything sinister. It rang for 3.5 hours so sure we are not popular with neighbours. Will discuss a better option with builder this am,in case it happens again.
