We have never done anything at all building wise so any advice gratefully received!
We are planning a loft conversion and have submitted plans, which have been approved with a certificate of lawful intent. Today we have shared the plans with the neighbours (we are end of terrace so need them to sign a party wall agreement). They already have a loft conversion which goes up to our boundary.
Our architect has planned our dormer to join with theirs but they have said they were told not to do that to their neighbour by building control and they had to leave a 60cm gap.
Has anyone done this before and found this was what they had to do? I don’t want to lose 60cm and how do you tile a wall with a gap of that size?!?!
Think this might be a new nightmare!!!
