New well?

We live in a victorian semi with an old well on the party line. We (both us and NDNs) want to extend buy apparently we would either need to fill the well in or spend over £10K "piling"(?) it.

We like having the original well, but its not in great shape. We only use it for getting some water out for the garden.

Does anyone know anyone who installs new wells? We don't want a deep borehole or anything like that. Just an old fashioned looking well, maybe with a handpump.

Whereabouts are you? I have a rural drive to work and have passed a well maintenance company doing work on farmland so they do exist.

I would look online for someone locally, the council may have a trusted trader scheme and try asking local farmers. If someone's business is well work they will be best placed to advise you.
