Costs to put in halogen ceiling lights in a hallway

Anyone had this done recently?
We've got halogens in other rooms which were done as part of a re-fit, and DH also did the downstairs loo but he doesn't have time at the moment. (He has a degree in electrical engineering before anyone freaks..)

The hall would need about 6 bulbs and the landing maybe 4.There are two existing lights where they'd run off. Landing may be harder as they'd need to access from loft perhaps.

We did pay £20 a bulb years ago for kitchen ones as part of a total re-fit.

Any ideas?

Wouldn't LEDs be a better bet these days? More energy efficient as they don't kick out heat like other bulbs/light sources.

Halogen bulbs will be completely phased out this year - you need to fit LEDs, which will be way cheaper to run anyway.
