Hi all,
Would really welcome some input into a neighbourhood parking issue. Out residential streets have a pedestrian access to our local uni. Never been a major issue until this year when they reduced their parking massively. They declared an old "hockey pitch" which has essentially been a hard car park for 10+years to be a hockey pitch again. They've called off parking and are pre empting planning permission for new 4g pitches there instead as a revenue generator (stated goal to generate 50% plus non government funds in most recent plan). Neighbours have established under planning law they should have had 200+ parking spaces but only have 650 at present. Blocking off pitches has resulted in 30-50 weekly parkers in our street which provides pedestrian access to college. Residents are having a total nightmare with parking over drives, on corners etc but don't want double yellows or single yellows as that's a pretty poor solution for us as neighbours. Any planning experts might know angles for neighbours to take???
