Kitchen cupboard doors. Matt or gloss?

Any tips to help us choose please?
I like both.

Matt every time for me! Looks more upmarket IMO

I think gloss will date as it's a trend of sorts, so matt may have more longevity, if you care about that

Gloss has been popular for eons. I'd do gloss, Matt absorbs dirt and light more.

Being able to see every tiny fingerprint on a gloss surface would drive me slowly insane.

I think Matt looks a bit more classic too and I prefer that myself in period homes. Although if you have a new build/new extension I think gloss would look great.

I'm going for gloss. It's more in keeping with the style image I have in mind. But Matt may be less dating. You never know though. I tend to go for what I like rather than what is in fashion.

I have both. Gloss in my utility, matt in my kitchen. Gloss is easier to keep clean (microfibre cloth and polish is the key). It bounces around a lot of light in smaller rooms, too. Matt looks lovely in a larger space.

Is the kitchen a bit dark? Then light and gloss cupboard doors, if otherwise any colour and matt.
