Possible asbestos

Some of our walls have lining boards which we suspect could contain asbestos. We have lived with them for years after being reliably advised that there is no danger if it is not disturbed.
Now we want to install a bathroom by dividing a bedroom and need to know if there is asbestos in the walls. What’s the best way of getting tests done? We don’t want the whole house surveyed.

Google asbestos surveyors - demolition and refurbishment survey is what you need and they will survey the area where you’ll be knocking through. You could also go via your (trustworthy) builder, who will do the same.
